The more tolerable things.

❦ A Formidable Blade. Edelweiss poured most of her frustrations into training with the blade, and her skill is certainly evidence of the blood and sweat spilled in pursuit of strength. She is available for mercenary work and can offer complete silence while doing it, if that's what her patron might please.❦ A Gleaming Sword. Edelweiss' sword seems to have an eery sheen to it, and when asked about the blade, she offers a name - "Lady's Mantle." It is etched and decorated beautifully, a stark contrast from the rather worn armor or muted coats she commonly dons.❦ Usually Masked. For multiple reasons, Edelweiss feels uncomfortable when her face is visible when around other people. The common helmet found on Ishgardian knights is what she usually wears around - but it is also not uncommon at all to see her in some other partial face covering. Catch her in a good mood and she'll take off her helmet for you, though it's usually no more than a couple breaths worth.❦ Socially Inept. Save her from an awkward situation in public, and she'll probably secretly like you forever. Edelweiss speaks like she's constantly mumbling, making her way through conversations with the aid of hand motions and nods. She just doesn't seem fit for city bustle.❦ Good With Her Hands. When standing around Ul'dah, sometimes she can be seen hunched away in a corner, whittling away at a slab of wood. Much time alone has lead to Edelweiss developing a few idle hobbies, and is rather skilled with anything involving handiwork.❦ Survival Skills. Edelweiss has lived by herself by many years, and has taught herself the survival skills needed to survive in a harsh environment. Whether it may be missions, recreational travels, or first aid, Edelweiss can certainly make herself useful and keep herself afloat.❦ Refugee of Ishgard. Edelweiss currently resides in a small lodge in the snowy barrens of Coerthas - a rather far ways from Ishgard. She doesn't like talking about why, but it's obvious something happened. Edelweiss visits Ul'dah somewhat frequently for work.❦ Stallion on Standby. Edelweiss cares for a horse who she refers to as "Sett," short for Poinsettia. A red stallion with an impressive mane is almost always found at her side in open areas outside of city-states, and he seems to be trained frighteningly well.❦ Meager Pickings. Strike her a little too close to heart and Edelweiss can be reduced to a meek animal in a matter of seconds - presumably having to do with her rather blotchy past. She tries to hide it, but it is easy enough to notice for those who are perceptive.

❦ Odd Rumors. Anyone of Ishgardian origin has a fair chance of recognizing the woman's name, and those who remember could offer a wide array of reactions.
Some positive, most negative, the rumors surrounding her sound more like folk tales rather than believable experiences. Ishgard is still a city of traditional values - and it is evident in the way upper class citizens speak of her.❦ Yet She Meddles... If brought up to Edelweiss, she will surely look more than a little uncomfortable at the mention of the way she is perceived in her homeland. Yet, any word of update or good news of Ishgard leaves her looking a little less stiff than usual - she cares deeply for the Holy See, regardless of how she was treated or whatever seems to plague her.❦ Once a Knight, Forever a Knight. Edelweiss served as a Temple Knight for much of her life, which is where much of her fierce loyalty to Ishgard stems from. Even though she is no longer affiliated with the Temple Knights, many of her mannerisms and morals are reminiscent of them, even after years apart.❦ The Dragonsong War. During her time as a Temple Knight, Edelweiss naturally took part in the Dragonsong War. When prodded, this seems to be the most uneasy topic for her to speak about.
